Grammy legends and country superstars Kenny Rogers and Glen Campbell will return to New Zealand in August to share the stage in Christchurch and Auckland with their own bands.
The pair will play Christchurch and Auckland in August.
Between them, the music icons have 12 Grammy Awards and over 50 top ten hits including The Gambler, Ruby Don't Bring Your Love To Town, Islands in the Stream, Wichita Lineman, Rhinestone Cowboy and Southern Nights.
Rogers is the man with the distinctive voice and trademark beard. His smash hit, The Gambler, spawned five movies - starring Rogers in the title role as Brady Hawkes. He has also published four books and three photographic collections featuring five presidents, celebrities and landscapes.
Campbell was one of the most visible international country stars when he hosted his own network television show for three years, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, which featured musical guests Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Neil Diamond and attracted weekly global audiences of 50 million.
With nine Grammys and the Most Played Song of the Millennium, Wichita Lineman, under his belt, his career is one of country music's finest.
A public disclosure was made last year that Campbell had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and while this has not affected his performances so far, this tour Down Under may be his last.
