The gossip mags: GC and Travolta

What do the GC and John Travolta have in common at the moment? They're all over this week's editions of the gossip mags.

Apparently the four main female GC characters share 65 bikinis and 70 pairs of shoes between them. There was no word on the male characters and their speedos.

But the juiciest gossip to emerge is the claim that Grease actor Jeff Conaway, who played Kenickie, once woke to find John Travolta performing a sexual act on him.

Both New Idea and Women's Day reported that Conaway's former fiancee Vikki Lizzi has a suicide note the actor wrote in 2006 and which claims Travolta performed the sexual act on him.

Lizzi says the incident ended the pair's friendship.

"They'd spend time over at each other's places all the time," Lizzi said.

"One morning in the 90s, Jeff awakened with John performing [a sex act] on him. He was totally traumatised."

Conaway died last year after a long battle with drug addiction.

Meanwhile, five men have now gone public with their claims that Travolta made sexual advances towards them - though two have since withdrawn their lawsuits.

News that Home and Away actors Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell are engaged might come as a surprise to some. The actors, who play Ruby and Romeo, have recently started dating on the show but have been an item for two years.

Woman's Day leads with a story about how the Duchess of Cambridge is being bullied by her mother-in-law Camilla, who is also jealous of her success.

"Kate says Camilla is nice to her on the surface, but can't help but drop little insults and comments, and they're taking their toll," a source told the magazine.

A pregnant Kourtney Kardashian is also making headlines as her partner and baby's father Scott Disick has reportedly walked out on her on numerous occasions and failed to show up to her baby shower.

New Idea introduces us to Peaches Geldof's baby daughter and sheds some insight into the lives of the final four MasterChef contestants.

Contestant Ana Schwarz reveals she's into burlesque, Brenton Thornton says he finds the idea of being a chef daunting and Chelsea Winter hits back at claims that her good looks helped her get to the final four.

"Sign up to compete in MasterChef - see how hard it really is and you'll probably understand."

Women's Weekly looks at the on and off screen relationship of Shortland Street's longest-serving stars Angela Bloomfield and Michael Galvin, and at some of the bad women who have appeared on the New Zealand soap.

And some crucial advice from Prince William also appears in the magazine: "Don't mess with your grandmother."
