Train rolls on with new album

Grammy Award winning band Train are set to release their upcoming album, California 37, next Monday

The new record is the follow-up to the band's multi-platinum 2009 release Save Me, San Francisco which featured the biggest song of 2010, Hey Soul Sister.

The first single from California 37, Drive By, has already been a massive radio hit here, leading the airplay charts, peaking at No 3 on the NZ Singles Chart and has certified platinum.

The San Francisco three-piece made a splash in 2002 with the lead single of their album Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me) which won two Grammy Awards and chart-topping singles like Meet Virginia and Calling All Angels.

After two more albums and a three year hiatus the band bounced back with their 2009 album Save Me, San Francisco, containing worldwide radio hit Hey Soul Sister, which netted them a third Grammy.

Hey Soul Sister was the biggest selling single of 2010 and hit No1 at radio in New Zealand and in 16 countries abroad. Save Me, San Francisco has sold over one million albums worldwide and over eight million tracks.
